BIBLE APPLICATION TO SELF
to KNOW HIM MORE and to MAKE HIM KNOWN
Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving your own selves. James 1:22
Lot of us read and hear Bible verses time after time and we wonder why we don't change. Changed lives show us that change occurs with consistent personal application of Bible truths. We must believe that GOD is speaking to us personally, and we must lay out a plan for immediate change in our lifestyle, as needed. The desire to do this journey will move us to the finish line, with God's help. The ultimate goal is GOD's glory through our changed behavior. Changed behaviors help us, our families and our friends - our own, here on this earth, while we eagerly pray and watch for His coming.
Self-Application is the application of Bible truths to one's own self; for a better Christian living. Self-Application helps us move from passive 'hearing' mode to active mode of 'doing'. Thanks be to GOD who help us do our best in everything. Self-Application is the start-key to begin running as to win.
SELF-APPLICATION
But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. James 1:22-25 (NLT).
Self Application starts with Bible reading. Then comes self-assessment checklist. May GOD help us check ourselves against GOD's word, and grant His grace and mercy to walk upright always.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Eph 2:10 (NLT).
Self-Assessment Checklist
